Forfar Bridies are minced beef, in a shortcrust, or puff, pastry. Often with grated onion mixed into the beef too. Originating from the Scottish town of Forfar they are still very popular in Scotland and throughout the UK as well. My shortcrust pastry, made with butter and lard is rich and flaky, with a lovely crisp texture making these Bridies a real treat. Often enjoyed just as they are, or with chips and baked beans.
