Around Texas with Chancellor John Sharp Season 1 Episode 4

Texas A&M University – and the Bush School of Government and Public Service, in particular – has been a favorite place of the CIA to recruit agents and analysts.

Professor Jim Olson is a big reason for that. Jim is a professor at the Bush School, where he teaches courses on intelligence and counterintelligence. He also is a former spy.

Chancellor Sharp sat down with Jim at the Bush School. They touched on a lot of topics such as catching spies, Olson’s book: To Catch a Spy: The Art of Counterintelligence, and China’s efforts to steal our intellectual property and how it threatens our national security.

In the episode, you will hear some incredible stories about nowdeclassified CIA cases. Also, former presidential advisor and cabinet member Andy Card discusses Jim’s legacy and the importance of the Bush School.
