Former head of MI6, Sir Richard Dearlove, has told Sky's Sophy Ridge that we're no longer in a "prewar situation" with Russia but "an actual war".

When asked how the UK government should respond to Russian provocation, he said: “We have to face up to the fact that the Russians think they're in the state of war with us."

"Donald Tusk (the Polish prime minister) has referred to it as a prewar situation. I think he's wrong. I think it's an actual war", he says.
