Fort Lauderdale’s Newest Urban Planning Achievements 2024

As Fort Lauderdale grows, so do our amenities for all residences and guests alike.

Today I want to highlight the newest urban planning achievements in 2024 for the city of fort Lauderdale!

I am Jaime Cristancho, your Fort Lauderdale real estate advisor, and I am excited to show you these incredible amenities our city will have to offer.


Fort Lauderdale Marina and Shops
The Las Olas Marina will be a worldclass destination for mega yachts and a signature destination for visitors to South Florida for the next 50 years.

The marina will include 68 boat slips capable of handling vessels up to 250feet and two buildings.

The iconic marina will redefine the Fort Lauderdale waterfront featuring fine dining, boutique retail, stateoftheart infrastructure improvements, and a lush pedestrianfriendly landscape.

In partnership with the City of Fort Lauderdale, Las Olas Marina is the capstone of more than $130 million in public amenity improvements along the Las Olas Corridor connecting pedestrians to the ocean.

The marina will also contribute to the City’s environmental resilience by converting 3 acres back to water and natural habitat and providing seawall improvements to protect against sea level rise.

Las Olas Marina will also be a dynamic economic engine.

creating new jobs across multiple business sectors generating hundreds of millions of dollars annually for the local community.

The International Swimming Hall of Fame (ISHOF). is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 1965. Its museum is the “Official Repository for Aquatic History” as deemed by Fédération Internationale de Natation (FINA) – the governing body for Olympic aquatic sports.
The vision is an architecturally stunning building that will house a fully updated and modern display of aquatics sports history. This will be an with an Iconic 4 story building

Including a welcome center building with a coffee shop, retails space, a viewing area, meeting rooms and office space on the third and 4th floor with break taking terrace views of the swimming hall and ocean.

To the west a 5 storey international swimming hall of fame building with teaching pool, giftshop, valet parking, 3rd floor museum and sky boxes over looking the pools, on the 4th floor there will be an event space and then to top it all of there will be a restaurant on the 5th floor with 360° views of the intracoastal, aquatic center and Atlantic Ocean. Already completed has been the 90 foot high diving tower that is the only one of its kind in the entire world.

Inter Miami CF is proud to join JPMorgan and Chase and reimagine our home for years to come!

Inter Miami CF and JPMorgan Chase have come together over a shared commitment to investing in South Florida’s local communities and creating a stronger, more inclusive economy.

Inter Miami plays and trains at its 34acre centralized facility, which is inclusive of the 19,100capacity Chase Stadium, a 50,000squarefoot training center and seven fields in Fort Lauderdale. In addition, to the MLS team, the Club fields the MLS NEXT Pro team Inter Miami CF II and a youth Academy for ages U12 to U17 as part of the MLS NEXT program to develop world stars here in our backyard. This Stadium came with a price tag of 160 Million dollars, in a partnership with the city who donated the land. In addition, Leon Messi and its top players are now residents of The city of Fort Lauderdale which has brought worldwide attention to our city.

Fort Lauderdale Studio initiative

D.J. Viola a Hollywood Director and Producer,
and a major player in Fort Lauderdale's ambitious Content creation studio campus. He is working to create a massive production site much like the Los Angeles center studios with sound stages and production offices.

It would be built on a 60acre former superfund site west of i95, creating hundreds of jobs for the area for carpenters, electricians, engineers, and other tradesmen.

Viola is also looking to integrate a film school on site and recruit local talent for his productions.

Development of the 35,000 sq ft facility will begin in 2024 once environmental recommendations have been made and the site is expected to be completed toward the end of 2025.
