Fox suspension settings in FOX 34 fork. Progressive vs linear suspension comparison.

Today I'm testing volume spacers / tokens to adjust how progressive or linear my fork performs. My FOX Performance 34 fork (130 mm) is great but I always feel like I'm using all of the travel too easily. During a recent fork service I decided to experiment with going from the stock 3 volume spacers to the maximum of 6. I never tried this but though it'd be fun to see the difference sidebyside on video rather than just telling you what it did!

I used 20% sag for both runs and kept the rebound and low speed compression exactly the same. I tried to ride both the same speed and intensity for a good comparison. The results were eyeopening and the difference was HUGE! As a result of this test, I'll be sticking with the 6 volume spacers and slowly reducing the air pressure (increasing sag) to get to the sweet spot of supple initial response and just enough support on big impacts.
