As the timelapse footage rolls, you’ll see me take on the task of reinforcing the shed, sealing up every nook and cranny to protect my flock. From hammering in new boards to filling in gaps with fresh materials, each step is a testament to the dedication needed to create a safe haven for my chickens. It’s a labor of love, driven by the desire to give my birds the best possible environment.

But as any farmer will tell you, life on the farm isn’t always smooth sailing. Midway through the video, I share a poignant story about one of my roosters. Sometimes tough decisions have to be made, and I had to let one of my roosters go. He ended up in the soup pot, a sad but necessary part of managing a sustainable farm.

Toward the end of the video, I share the devastating news of a fox attack that decimated my flock. Despite all my efforts to protect them, nature had its way, and most of my remaining chickens were killed.
