After he had COVID19, Gerald developed Diaphragm Paralysis and struggled to breathe. He could no longer run and live the active lifestyle he was used to. When told there was no solution, he took matters into his own hands and found Dr. Kaufman online. He travelled to New Jersey from Tennessee to have phrenic nerve surgery and is now back to his healthy, active, lifestyle. Gerald is now getting ready to run his first half marathon since having surgery!
