On another field trip to the Rock Island Auction House, Brownells resident firearm historians Keith Ford and Steve Ostrem show us a rare Colt Boa .357 Magnum revolver. This is a gun every Colt "compleatist" collector MUST have. In the 1980s, the distributor Lew Horton had Colt build a limited run of 1,200 Boas and that's the total number of Boas in the entire world. Looks like a Python, but... it's not. The Boa is a Python barrel mated to a Trooper Mk V frame and given the Python's highpolish blued finish. The Python's action is distinctly smoother, but the Boa IS the far rarer gun.
