The opening ceremony for Cars Land at Disney California Adventure on June 13, 2012 at the "Happiest Place on Earth, the Disneyland Resort. This includes a live band, Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger, Chairman of Disney Parks and Resorts Tom Staggs, many of the team that brought Cars and Cars 2 to life, Larry the Cable Guy, Lightning McQueen, Tow Mater, and a host of mechanic dancers.

The opening of Cars Land is part of the culmination of five years of work on the Disneyland Resort. It is a part of the "reopening" of Disney California Adventure and will be open to the public on June 15, 2012.
