Fulltime Vanlifer stopping to make some upgrades

The downside of jumping in to fulltime vanlife before your van is finished is that it then takes a ridiculous amount of time to get it finished.

I needed to stop in on my mum again, so have taken to opportunity to spend a few days doing a few more jobs on the van. I had planned to complete the ceiling lining and finally cover up all the insulation, but the costs just kept mounting, so that has been put on hold again.

Instead, I installed 4 spotlights that I bought from 4WD SupaCentre on the roofracks not an essential item, but something that will come in handy every now and then.
Secondly, I installed some storage bins that I have adapted from some Ikea product. Since I had a $30 voucher for Ikea, the total cost for this was $2. Again, not an essential item but it is something I will use everyday and a job that is good to get done. The biggest plus on this one is finally installing my 12V USB chargers, so now there's no need to use 240V adaptors.

About me:
My name's Jason. I worked as Mechanical Engineer until mid 2023 when I was made redundant. Never one to miss an opportunity to have more fun in my life, I decided to move out of my house and started living full time in my self converted Ford Transit campervan. I pass my days mountain biking, bush walking and generally exploring the beautiful natural attractions that Australia has to offer.
