Fun Idea for a Junk Mail Window Envelope: Make a Lady's Wallet

Follow
Linda’s Paper Works

Making a wallet from a window envelope is a beginner friendly project. It can be made with or without the extra pockets and divider in the cash pocket or the closure. A wallet is an interesting item to include in a journal pocket especially if the journal is one that features a specific person, such as a tribute journal or a journal that is created as if a person had left it behind with personal items, notes, and photos in it. The contents of the wallet can give a glimpse into the person's life.

I was inspired by videos by Carol Laws, whose video I first saw about the idea, and Margurite Miller, whose video inspired Carol.
Carol Laws' video:    • #junkjournaljanuary Final flip through
Margurite Miller's video:    • Collage paper wallet tutorial + colla...

Please tell them I said "hi" and that I sent you their way.

I hope you enjoyed the video and will make a wallet for your own project. I have videos for other projects for window envelopes listed in my playlist:    • Making Ephemera from Junk Mail Envelopes

Thank you for watching.
