While I’m reading and learning up on how to transform this wreck into what I want, I try to think of ways to “function stack” anything I can on it since space and weight are extremely limited here. This hanger idea definitely has room for refinement but as it is, it looks like it might work. Of course it will probably need adjustment when the roof is redone and the walls installed but I kinda like being able to come up with the idea using just scrap wood, hardware I already had, and two (usually hella expensive) yacht/miner’s lamps scrounged off marketplace for $30. They were cheap since one had a broken glass. I just took a glass candle holder that cost a whopping 15 cents, cut the bottom off with my tile saw, and stuck the remaining tube shape in the place where the old chimney was.
