Episode eighteen of the Pittsburgh recreation and revitalization project. In this episode we are building and detailing the Strip District. The main focus of the video is Penn Avenue between 16th Street and 21st Street. In part two of the project, I plan to turn this avenue into a pedestrian only area to create a pedestrian friendly market district and increase the walkability in the Neighborhood. With the new Plazas and Promenades DLC that just came out, I expect that there will be plenty of creative ways to bring citizens instead of car traffic to the forefront of city planning in the game, and showcase the reallife benefits as well.

The city is built on top of my custom Pittsburgh, PA elevation map link: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile... and is created 100% freehand referencing my own knowledge of the city from visiting and google earth. I plan on finishing the city in its present form so that I can use it as a basis to improve traffic, improve walkability, increase transit options and opportunities, and complete highway removal/covering projects.
