1986년 영화 "미션"의 메인 테마곡입니다. 이탈리아의 작곡가 엔니오 모리코네가 작곡했으며, 영국의 가수 사라 브라이트만은 자신의 곡 "Nella Fantasia"를 만들 때, 모리코네에게 "가브리엘 오보에"에 가사 붙이는 것에 허락을 받았다고 합니다.

이곡은 영화에서 예수회 선교사 가브리엘이
오보에를 연주하면서 원주민들과의
첫 만남과 교감의 순간을 음악으로 아름답게
표현하고 있습니다.

영상은 2024년 1월 캄보디아의 앙코르와트 여행 시 촬영한 영상입니다.

Gabriel's Oboe is the main theme song for the 1986 film Mission. Written by Italian composer Ennio Morricone, it was arranged by numerous artists, including YoYo Ma and Holly Gonic.
There is an anecdote that British singer Sarah Brightman asked Morricone for permission to put lyrics to Gabriel Oboe when she wrote her song "Nella Fantasia."

The video was taken during a trip to Angkor Wat, Cambodia, in January 2024.
