On June 29, I headed to Galesburg Railroad Days for an exciting multipart series. The event featured a mini train, train show, yard tours, and many other great activities across the city. Check out the event details here: Galesburg Railroad Days.

In Part 1, we start with the Amtrak Southwest Chief arriving from LA with three Metrolink cars en route to Milwaukee for refurbishment. Then, watch as a BNSF SD60M works the yard trimmer job, passing by while BNSF employees clean up the tank car wheel demo. We wrap up at Peck Park with a rare triple train meet and a Santa Fe Dash 9 working the yard. Don't miss the action!
