In this video I ran Galimulator and Age of Conquest side by side, and here are more details. Age of Conquest significantly outperformed Galimulator, despite having 200 countries at the beginning and at a faster game speed... and the map is made of tiny pixels. Galimulator on the other hand was more performance intensive even with a slower game speed and fewer nations at the start. I ran both of them on the same PC, and sped up the footage to fit it all in. So what game should you use? It depends. Galimulator has more features such as being able to actually control any of the countries, its free on mobile, but on PC you need to buy it from steam. Age of conquest is more about the "simulating war and stuff", and is more optimized, but comes at the cost of actually costing money on both mobile and PC.
