Released in 2013, Gears of War: Judgment is the first spin off of the franchise and presents us with the story of a young Damon Baird during the siege of the city of Halvo Bay at the hands of the fearsome Zamil Karn, one of the most dangerous generals of the Locust horde.

True to his rebellious personality and in the company of the rest of his squad, Baird must fight against the army that invades the city, while disobeying the orders of his superior command: the arrogant and proud colonel, Ezra. Loomis.

This video essay aims to delve into the value of disobeying established orders to follow our instincts when necessary. The value of listening to ourselves and making our own decisions in times of great need.
