Raden Ayu Hj. Siti Hartinah or who is more familiarly known as Mrs. Tien Soeharto is the wife of the second President of Indonesia, retired Great General Soeharto. Siti Hartinah was born in Jaten, Karanganyar, Central Java, on August 23 1923. Mrs. Tien was the second of 10 children, namely R. Aj. Siti Hartini, RM Ibnu Hartomo, RM Ibnu Harjatno, R. Aj. Siti Hartanti, RM Ibnu Harjoto, RM Ibnu Widojo, R. Aj. Siti Hardjanti, RM Bernadi Ibnu Hardjojo, and RM Sabarno Ibnu Harjanto. Mrs. Tien Soeharto is the second child of the couple KPH Soemoharjomo and Raden Ayu Hatmanti Hatmohoedojo, as well as the son of Mangkunegara III.
