General Gowon pledges Support for the Military government which has deposed him | July 31st 1975

General Yakubu Gowon gives a press conference to journalists in Kampala, Uganda two days after the bloodless coup led by Brigadier Murtala Muhammed has deposed him.
He pledges his loyalty to the new government and will soon fly to England to live in exile.
