The Doctor, Second of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers.

A man of little morality, experimenting with blasphemy, nothing is beyond him. Most would see such a person as a 'monster' but that would be a very misconception of the heart of such a person.

In this meaning, Zandik had commited the utmost of blasphemy burning away the false wall of memories of this world, and revealing the truth of the tapestry of lies shown to it by the gods who claim dominance over all.

What it would take to drive such a man to ascend to the level of said gods as a mere mortal, well, it would be the endless drive and ambition of a mortal with nothing to lose.

And so Zandik constructed the perfect machine and engrained his very soul into it, to be reborn again as a perfect, and absolute, form of life, reaching the culmination of all that “evolution” offers.

"Pointless, experimentation within 'rules’ becomes. It is but a mockery to the potential of the scientific art."

"Science… We should use this art to find a way to escape this war.”

“So in this pursuit, I will commit the ultimate act of blasphemy, and sacrifice myself to this cause and bring an end to the truth of our suffering."

"And, only then will we truly be at the apex of 'evolution’."
