Geometrical isomerism is a type of stereoisomerism. Geometrical isomers ar molecules having the same molecular formula and the same connectivity between atoms or groups but different arrangement of atoms or groups in 3dimensional space because of restricted rotation due double bond or ring. The phenomenon of existence of geometrical isomers is known as geometrical isomerism. In this video geometrical isomerism due to CC, CN and NN double bond and also due to ring has been discussed in detail with appropriate examples.
