DuoKaleidoscope (Katja and Reiko) is playing the flute duo in b minor by Georg Philipp Telemann (1681 1767) from his “Six Sonatas for two flutes or Violins” written in 1727. The movements are "Largo Vivace Gratioso Allegro". For this recording a particular instruments are used, which are baroque flutes copies of Godfridus Adrianus Rotthenburgh (1709 1790). The Rottenburgh family was one of the most important makers of European wind instruments in the 18th century, active in Flanders. Both instruments are made of boxwood, in four sections, the diapason of which is 415 hz. Copies you hear here are made by Austrian baroque flutes maker Rudolf Tutz (sr).
