A bed fit for a king! Discover the story behind the focal point of The King's Bedchamber at Windsor Castle, George IV's bed.

Made by the master French furniture maker, George Jacob, it was acquired for George IV's bedroom at Carlton House around 1790.

Over the years it has undergone numerous changes, including by Queen Victoria ahead of the French State visit of Emperor Napoleon III and Empress Eugenie in 1855.
