Georgia Form G-7 (Quarterly Return) - GA State Withholding Taxes from Wages

Georgia employers are generally required to withhold GA state income taxes on compensation paid to employees. Once the taxes are withheld, they are submitted to the Georgia Department of Revenue. Employers are encouraged to submit the filings and taxes electronically.

The timing of payments will vary from employer to employer. For small employers with very little state withholding tax, taxes can often be paid to the DOR on a quarterly basis with the filing of the return. In other cases, larger payrolls may require monthly or nextday deposits.
