The most popular GeoTalks Express sessions over the last couple of years have been those in which we have shared some Global Mapper tips and tricks or revealed some of the software’s hidden gems. For April’s GeoTalks Express session, we turn our focus to some of the less wellknown lidar or point cloud processing tools. In this hourlong session, we will show how to apply a custom shader to a point cloud, how to determine the average point elevation within a defined area, how to apply elevations from a point cloud to vector polygons, how to filter lidar using a reusable query, how to edit points in a crosssectional view, how to transform a point cloud into a mesh or 3D model, and much more
