Duchess Cecilie of MecklenburgSchwerin perhaps a rather unknown figure, forgotten to history. Cecilie is most famously known for being the last Crown Princess Germany ever had. At the beginning of the 20th century, she was a well appreciated member of the Imperial family and a fashion icon throughout the German women. But when the German Empire fell and with the Nazi’s later coming to power Cecilie more and more withdrew herself from the public eye. After the end of the second world war and with the red army approaching Potsdam, the last Crown Princess of PRussia was forced to board an overcrowded refugee train towards the west. She spent the remainder of her life in Bad Kissingen, a rather tiny village in today's Bavaria Germany.
