The Stand Up India Scheme is a governmentbacked initiative that offers loans to SC/ST or female entrepreneurs to start businesses. They are aiming to provide the loans of up to 10 lakhs or 1 crore depending on the other needs. It is advisable to have a SC/ST or a woman entrepreneur set up an enterprise using this scheme. The enterprise may be in any field, like manufacturing, trade, or service. However the condition is that SC/ST or women candidates should have a 51% share in that enterprise.

To be eligible, the person must be an SC/ST or a woman entrepreneur who is 18 years. The interest rate is low and the loan can be repaid in 10 years with a maximum moratorium of 18 months. The borrower should not default in any bank or financial Institution. So all the Terms and Conditions before applying for this scheme.
