On July 17, I began an (attempted) thruhike of the Colorado Trail. I’m heading southbound from Denver to Durango.

Total trip days in this video: Day 1 to Day 2.

This is Episode 1 of the series in which I go from Waterton Canyon to mile 31.2. It includes Strontia Springs dam, the burned parts of Section 2, and camping along the South Platte River. It also includes the Waterton Canyon Trailhead, the South Platte River Trailhead, the Little Scraggy Trailhead, and the Firehouse water resupply (not shown).

The Colorado Trail "segments" included in this video are Segment 1 (Waterton Canyon Trailhead to South Platte River Trailhead), Segment 2 (South Platte River Trailhead to Little Scraggy Trailhead), and the first part of Segment 3 (Little Scraggy Trailhead to Rolling Creek Trailhead).
