Reunion Items of Sallie Myers Stewart

Honored for her services as a nurse during and after the battle of Gettysburg, Sallie (Myers) Stewart was a recognized figure at monument dedications and reunions. She took an active role in veterans’ affairs and was eventually named secretary of the National Association of Army Nurses of the Civil War. The items associated with this organization were among her most prized possessions.
