View neverbeforeseen Civil War artillery damage from the Battle of Gettysburg! Civil War history buffs will not want to miss this video. ACHS Historian Tim Smith describes the fighting near the brickyard on the afternoon of July 1, 1863. Coster's Brigade stood and faced two brigades under Confederate General Jubal Early: Hays & Avery, while the remainder of the Eleventh Corps pulled back through the town of Gettysburg to Cemetery Hill. Tim then discusses visible artillery shells & damage on the northeast side of Gettysburg near the fighting that took place in the brickyard.
