Ghostbusters: The Video Game, edited and compressed into a 3 hour 30 minute 'movie' edition.
Fully rerecorded and edited from scratch with all realtime assets in true 1080p via the PC version of the game at max settings and with 2x Super Sampling Anti Aliasing.
No upscaled 720p console version here!
Set two years after the second movie and featuring the voices of the original cast in one of Harold Ramis' final roles before his death, Dan Aykroyd has described the video game as "Essentially the third movie."
This is an extended cut with additional incidental dialogue and background details.
Pacing has been affected as a result, so this is for the more hardcore fans of the franchise.
Please note that some cutscenes, specifally all of those that are letterboxed, are in fact prerendered CGI videos.
These videos were rendered at 1280x540 by the developers and so have only been upscaled with some very slight cropping at the edges to fill a bit more of a 16:9 frame.
Some scenes have had their audio adjusted to try and improve on the worst of the lip syncing problems and various other tweaks to dialogue audio and colour balance.
It's not perfect, but I've tried to make this the highest quality 'movie' adaptation of GhostBusters: The Video Game available on the internet as of 2016.
