Giant Opal Parcel Pays Out Thousands!

Noah and I where lucky enough to score this giant parcel of Lightning Ridge potch and colour and two full buckets of Koroit Boulder opal.

This gamble cost us a total of $1200 but we where pretty confident that at worst we would break even. At best well we got a very nice surprise and after rubbing back one of the black bits of potch and colour it revealed an amazing colour bar of green and blue opal!

We sent off a bunch of pictures and videos a friend who sells primarily black opal and he valued it at $500 a carat making the value of that one stone a staggering $3500!
On top of that we managed to make up two additional parcels of black rough opal and Boulder opal worth a couple of grand each.

All in all a worthwhile gamble parcel!
