This classic ragstoriches tale, based on the the life and times of Emperor Justin I set in a timeless world that crosses over into realms of fantasy and is brimming with creatures, heroic figures, romance and battle scenes. Even though the opera was written almost 300 years ago by Giovanni Legrenzi its themes of fortune favouring the bold still remains relevant for the modern audience.

Giustino plays 25–31 May at the City Recital Hall, Sydney.
