Went out for a storm chase pretty close to home relatively speaking. An enhanced risk (3/5) for severe weather with some decent tornado potential was slated for northcentral Minnesota, about 3 hours west of where I live.

Colin, Steven and I targeted Grand Rapids Minnesota and travelled south/southwest tracking supercells with lots of rotation, fantastic lightning, and booming thunder, until ending up on the most active storm of the day which had spectacular structure, and had already produced a tornado.

Watched the amazing rotating wall cloud approach off of Mille Lacs Lake, and we moved east past Malmo, to where we witnessed a brief weak wispy tornado to our north.

Ended the day with one last ominous looking wall cloud with a deep turquoise hail glow as the storm became outflow dominant.
