Part 1 of new series of gmax / 3dsmax tutorials...

Even with the release of more recent design / cnc software, gmax remains relevant. When partnered with cnc_toolkit (or other maxscript addons)it still performs simultaneous multiaxis CNC work that even the most recent offerings from 'industry leaders' cannot reproduce.

A good grounding in gmax assists with grasping the concepts of multiaxis motion in a 3D environment. It has excellent spline and object design functions. There are reliable solutions to defeat restrictions that previously made exporting objects or gcode difficult. In addition there is a vast free library of plugin functions to extend gmax capabities.

Furthermore, there are no restrictions on using gmax for profit ...... users of more recent 'free' applications often do not appreciate that, as soon as the software is used in a 'for profit' project... it is no longer free...
