If you know me then you know that I like old TV shows. Whether it's "The Real McCoys", "The Andy Griffith Show", or even "The Waltons", if they're wholesome and portray a simple life I like them all! There is one episode of The Waltons where there's this old house in town that's judged condemned, unsafe for use, and is about to be torn down. Esther (Grandma Walton) has some sentimental attachment to the house, especially a particular stained glass window, and doesn't want the house to be demolished. Zeb (Grandpa Walton) wins the contract to tear down the house and do what he wants with all the old materials. You can see the conflict that develops between Esther and Zeb until the end where Zeb surprises Esther by relocating the stain glass window into their own bedroom. This causes Esther to realize that Zeb did see the value in the old house and wasn't going to cast away anything. In fact the whole town's people got something from the old house, to repurpose into their own homes, so the old house can "live on". This reminds me of what Jesus does for us. Because of our faith in Him, we will never be cast away, never lose our value, never be considered unsafe for use, and never be condemned by God! I believe that this teaching will be life changing! Prepare to be Blessed!
