A surprise visit from the police during my gold nugget hunt is something I didn’t expect as I am digging up a few subgrammer nuggets near a track in Old Halls Creek. A dirt road to the Northern Territory is not far from where I metal detect and the police patrols it regularly to prevent the spread of Covid19 into Western Australia where we there aren't any infections in the community.
A lucky surprise nugget pops out of the ground in the same area on a different day.
