Knock Knock Angels was created by REALTOR® Vickie Lobo nine years ago after a harrowing battle with thyroid cancer left her questioning her purpose in life. The nonprofit created a way to help people who had faced their own traumas—from domestic abuse to homelessness and serious health issues—rebuild their lives through home makeovers and random acts of kindness.

As a result of winning the 2020 Good Neighbor Award, Knock Knock Angels has expanded to Washington state and Colorado and has raised over $1 million in donations while helping over 100 families recover from major setbacks.
