Learn GOOD vs WELL in this English grammar lesson. Are these adjectives or adverbs and how can you know when to use each word? In this quick lesson on commonly confused words in English, I'll teach you examples and exceptions of when we use the adjective GOOD and the adverb WELL.

At the end of the lesson, there will be a short quiz to test your knowledge.

Good is an adjective, which means it describes nouns (people, places, or things).
Example: She is a good doctor, and he is a good nurse.

Well is an adverb, which means it modifies verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs. We use well to describe how something is done.
Example: My mom drives well. My dad sings well.

There are some exceptions, and you will learn about these in my lesson!
