Gotthardbahn Modular Layout - As it was around 1900

On December 30th, the IG Gotthardbahn was presenting its modular train layout in the train station of Göschenen on the Gotthardbahn. The layout very faithfully depicts the Gotthardbahn how it was between 1880 and 1920, i.e. when it was still fully steam operated. The modules shown included the stations of Göschenen and Wassen and some of the track between the two stations. A third station (AmstegSilenen ?) was unfortunately not accessible for filming. On static display were additional modules, one representing parts of the Axen Route near Sisikon and another, under construction, parts of the Dazio Grande area near Lavorgo on the Southern approach to the old Gotthard tunnel. All engines and cars operated fitted well into the modeled period. More modules have been constructed but I assume they would not fit into the space available at the train station in Göschenen, i.e. into the former station restaurant.
