One of Governor Glenn Youngkin’s priorities is to help the next generation of agricultural producers find access to financing, one of the most challenging barriers new and beginning farmers face. To help inform the next generation of farmers, Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry Matthew Lohr partnered with key lending institutions and state and federal agencies to host Farm Finance and Conservation Planning Seminars in various areas of the state. This educational workshop is a free networking event for new and beginner farmers and allows them to discover farm financing options and cost share conservation opportunities.
