First time chasing in New Mexico and it was the most intense storm chase yet! May 24th, 2023 there was a 5% risk for tornadoes along the Texas and New Mexico border per the storm prediction center. The supercell strengthened near the town of Tucumcari, New Mexico and moved southeast through Grady, where it was rotating rapidly and produced multiple tornadoes (based on what I've seen from other chasers reports). The rain, hail and high winds consumed me and I found myself much closer than I ever anticipated. It seemed like this storm was strongest while moving over an unpopulated region, so hopefully everyone stayed safe! #tornado #weather #newmexico
