In early 2023, three suspects from Quebec were arrested following a complex investigation into a series of fraud and organized crime that targeted victims in Saskatoon through what is known as the “Grandparent Scam.” In total, these criminals defrauded local residents of more than $180,000. Such investigations will continue nationwide until such time that the criminal organizations responsible for these acts are dissolved.
