GRASP Lab

Kendall J. Queen started pursuing his Ph.D. in Electrical and Systems Engineering within the School of Engineering & Applied Science at Penn in 2017. This Ph.D. program is a dynamic, handson, and researchfocused degree program that allows students to interact closely with professors and research staff to pursue a degree tailored to their interests. While pursuing his studies and research within the GRASP Lab, Kendall was supervised by Dr. Kostas Daniilidis, the Ruth Yalom Stone Professor of Computer Information Systems, and Dr. Nikolai Matni, Assistant Professor of Electrical and Systems Engineering. Kendall's doctoral research focused on eventbased perception of ground vehicle control that explored autonomous driving methods using a singular eventbased camera in simulation and the real world. Kendall received his Bachelor's degree at the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2016 in Computer Engineering.

In August 2023, Kendall graduated with his Ph.D. in ESE from Penn Engineering. His dissertation, supervised by Dr. Kostas Daniilidis and Dr. Nikolai Matni, was successfully defended on Eventbased Perception for Ground Vehicle Control. Currently, Kendall continues his journey with Asylon Robotics.
