80s digital watches has been a favourite of my viewers, so to celebrate 5k subscribers I thought doing a broader review of the whole period of 80s digitals from Casio, Seiko, Citizen and more would be a fun one. I’ve used the inspiration of the classic 80s :”Now that’s what I call music” compilation albums as a theme for the video, with each different type of watch representing a track on the list. We will cover Anadigi watches, sports watches, nerdy calculator and computer watches, early sensor watches, melody alarms, (susususudio ) pseudoanalogs the rise of the gshock and many more. Lots of fun making this one and weaving in plenty of 80s references. I hope you enjoy the video!

A particularly relevant resource was Pierre Doyon’s excellent scans of the various Casio catalogues (from the Casio Vintage Facebook Group). Newspaper clippings were largely using my subscription to newspapers.com
