I tried to Jam Pack this video with tons of information about green beans. We are growing a few different varieties including yard long green beans, pole beans, bush beans and we even found a few rattlesnake green beans.

One thing that always threw me off about growing green beans was flavor. I was used to canned green beans. And wellll fresh green beans have a different texture and flavor. So for years I tried several recipes on how to cook FRESH green beans...I finally landed on my "secret recipe"...not much of a secret now. This recipe can work for fresh garden picked green beans, canned green beans and frozen green beans.

We grow using various different gardening methods including Back to Eden method, raised beds, container gardening, several trellis systems and more.
