Gregory was diagnosed with highrisk multiple myeloma a few months after experiencing lower back pain. He was diagnosed in July 2021 and achieved remission in October of the same year.

After researching and finding a multiple myeloma specialist, he chose to have his transplant at the DanaFarber Cancer Institute in Boston. The transplant was successful, but he experienced complications including engraftment syndrome, resulting in a high fever and further hospitalization.

In this story, he discusses how exercise, a healthy diet, and support from his family helped him recover. His posttransplant tests have shown no cancer cells in his body, and he emphasizes the importance of appreciating life, spending time with loved ones, and not taking anything for granted.
