The Experimental Acres program supports local farmers in piloting new, regenerative practices to improve yield, soil health and overall sustainability. This year’s six selected projects range from 1 to 50 acres, including intercropping (more than one crop in the same field), rotational grazing, using wool pellets as a soil amendment, and more!

Since 2023, Grey County has supported pilot projects on 12 farms, directly impacting practices on 175 acres of farmland and helping advance Going Green in Grey, the County’s Climate Action Plan.
