1. The Era of Bimetallism (before 1870)
2. The Gold Standard Era (1816 1914)
3. Between The World Wars (1919 1939)
4. Bretton Woods System (1945 1973)
5. Exchange Rate Regimes (1973 present)
And there are three major regime types:
• Fixed Exchange Rate Regimes
• Flexible Exchange Rate Regimes
• Managed Exchange Rate Regimes
