This is a classic CDMX climb that starts in the south west of the city and you quickly find yourself transported into a quiet forest and the hum of the cars and city seem far away.
The road was always a little rough in patches but seems to have gotten a fair bit worse since I lived there. Not that anyone complained, you really have to be able to ride in some extreme conditions if you want to ride seriously in Mexico City. Broken road surface, major storms that appear suddenly, all sorts of animals, intense traffic and some awful drivers are all par for the course here.
